Team Air Gunner
Gunner, a 3 year old Chocolate Lab, came to us because the previous owners could not keep him for unknown reasons. Gunner was only 3 months old at that time. We started him in obedience training and he quickly showed us he had potential.
In 2007, we attended a sport, vacation & boat show and part of the show was a dock diving event. We really enjoyed watching the dogs fly through the air and land in the water. In 2008, we decided to give it a try to see how Gunner would react to jumping in the water. Gunner’s first event was in Ft. Wayne, IN. It took some effort to get Gunner to jump, but he finally did with hesitation. His very first jump was one foot, ten inches. After competing in dock diving events we became hooked on the sport and Team Air Gunner was formed. Myself and our daughter Krista handle Gunner. Now a year later and with several events under his paws, Gunner enjoys the events and speeds down the dock to leap into the water. As of May 2009 Gunner’s personal best is 19' 2".
Over a period of a year we were having problems finding food that would agree with Gunner. During that time we tried several brands of food, but Gunner continued to have stomach issues. We gained knowledge of pet food and how to look and know what the ingredients were because of researching so many different foods. Early this year we attended a pet food seminar in our hometown that was sponsored by CANIDAE. Having the knowledge of pet food and learning about the CANIDAE brand we decided to give CANIDAE a try. We started Gunner off on CANIDAE All Life Stages. Gunner seemed to respond well, but still showed some issue with his stomach. That is when, after testing, found that Gunner had several food and airborne allergies. We then changed his food to the Grain-Free Salmon Formula. He showed improvement in only a couple of weeks and so far to date Gunner is really doing well on the Grain-Free Salmon Formula. We are pleased that Gunner has put some of his weight back on that he lost because of the allergy issues and proud to let people know what we are feeding Gunner when they ask.
Team Air Gunner would like to give CANIDAE special thanks. We believe that the Grain-Free Salmon Formula not only helped with the allergies, but also helped with Gunner’s success during the competitions.

I began working with sled dogs at the age of 6 after going for a run with a family friend. Now 17, I am a high school senior in my final year and manage Cottonwood Kennels, a small racing/recreational operation of 11 huskies. My dogs currently range in age from 9 to just yearlings. Because I enjoy working with my dogs as individuals and appreciate the skills that older dogs obtain, I have never gotten into the breeding end of sled dogs. The majority of my animals come from larger kennels that may not have the manpower to utilize each dog’s potential, or they enter our yard with physical issues or personality “quirks”. Every year as our season begins, the dogs begin to settle down and develop into a cohesive unit, which I feel both honored and humbled to observe.
Mushing is a very demanding sport, both physically and mentally. Sled dogs develop different skills in a team; they learn how to pace themselves, determine snow conditions, conserve energy at a rest stop, and match strides with their running partners. The most important animals are the leaders; they run up front and keep an eye on the trail ahead. Lead dogs keeps the lines taunt when stopped, distinguish and turn left or right at a vocal command, march through obstacles such as open water, and generally keep the team in order. They are the glue, the dynamos, and they can make or break a dog team. My lead dogs for 2009 are Judo and Lily. Judo is around 35lbs and provides both brains and drive. Bred by Bonnie Gamble of Runner Rider Kennels, she is tough, hardworking, and never slacks off. Lily is very nearly the complete opposite. Bred by the Joinson family of Bar King Sled Dog Adventures, she takes nothing seriously and is a ball of hyper activity at all times. Thankfully, they enjoy running together. I guess opposites do attract!
When in training, my dogs run 5 days a week at distances that range from 6-40 miles a run. With such a high-stress, high-demand sport, top nutrition is needed to ensure that the dogs can perform fully and comfortably. After switching over to CANIDAE Grain-Free Salmon Formula, the mood and ability of my animals markedly improved over the course of only a few weeks. Excellent weight, thick, lustrous coats, improved endurance and heart rates, calm demeanors and firm stools became the order of the day. We still feed some raw meats, but most mushers do this to bait water and add a little extra fat. As snacks, we mash up CANIDAE canned food and roll it into “meatballs”, freeze, and feed on the trail. We also add this mash to warm water as bait. CANIDAE makes up the bulk of our diet and I am confident in recommending this to other racers as a top performance formula. After a long run many mushers struggle to entice their animals to eat, but with such excellent palatability CANIDAE makes that job easy. We feel very honored and grateful to be part of the CANIDAE team.

RACE UPDATE: Cottonwood Kennels recently traveled to Quesnel, British Columbia, for the Gold Rush Trail Sled Dog Mail Run. The dogs did AWESOME but had a difficult run on Friday night (hence us being presented with the Hard Luck Award). As a fun participation event, we enjoyed a great weekend with temperatures around -30 degrees C. Many inquiries were made about the new food that we were feeding and we were very happy to be able to spread the word about CANIDAE. For more info, please visit www.dogsledmailrun.ca.

Ray Vaturro and Betsy Wade-Vaturro
Ray Vaturro and Betsy Wade-Vaturro are the proud owners of Bram, a three year old Norwegian Elkhound they show in A.K.C. conformation. Bram, whose official name is BISS Ch. Silverdal's Royal Tribute, has had quite a few accomplishments in his young life. Bram was awarded Best of Breed at the 2006 Norwegian Elkhound Association of America National Specialty by Norwegian judge, Mr. Arild Berget. Bram finished 2006 as the #1 Norwegian Elkhound in breed points. His latest accolade was being invited to the Westminster Kennel Club in February 2007. It was Bram's and his owners first trip to Westminster. There he was awarded the only Award Of Merit to be given to a Norwegian Elkhound that day by Judge Mr. Randy Garren (pictured with Ray and Bram).
Ray and Betsy began showing dogs in 1998 with their first Norwegian Elkhound and started their breeding program in 2003. Betsy states "We started feeding our first dog CANIDAE ALS dry food in 2000. We noticed a marked change in the condition of his coat. We've been giving our dogs CANIDAE ever since and are very happy with the results". When the Vaturros are asked what food they feed their dog, they are happy to spread the news about their success with CANIDAE, whether the person asking is a show person or a pet owner.
UPDATE: Bram won two more Hound Group Three placements at the recent Claremore KC of Oklahoma and the Kokomo KC of Indiana.
UPDATE 2: 2008 has been a great year for Bram! He received the first Award of Merit at the N.E.A.A. National Specialty in May (pictured) and has had several group placements. He is Top Ten in All-Breed competition for Norwegian Elkhounds. The Vaturros are proud of his continued success!

Generous Kids Making A Difference
Cheyenne has been working hard for a long time to save money for something really cool. But, unlike most girls her age, she doesn't care about buying pretty dresses, toys or the latest electronic gadgets for herself. Cheyenne wants to help Tehachapi's homeless pets.
By making artwork and craft projects, and selling them in front of her home with help from younger brother Travis, Cheyenne managed to save $50. On Friday, June 6th, Cheyenne and her family came to Canine Creek, in Tehachapi, CA, cash in hand, intending to spend every last penny of that money to buy pet food for the Tehachapi humane Society.
To reward her generous spirit, Canine Creek decided to match her $50 donation. Because Cheyenne wanted to buy quality products, and get the most for her money, she decided on CANIDAE and FELIDAE. There were smiles all around as everyone in the store helped Sharon Cornelison, President of THS, load $100 in dog and cat food into her car.
What a great way to end the week. Thank you Cheyenne and Travis for such a wonderful effort in helping to make this world a much better place for our 4-legged friends!

Indian Creek Labs
ICL, located in Goldston, NC, has been breeding AKC Labs for 25 years. We were introduced to CANIDAE Pet Foods a few months back by a friend and competitor in Dock Diving. The first time I tried CANIDAE ALS, I had a litter of 10 puppies ready to eat their first solid food. Thank you CANIDAE, I have never had a litter that started on solid food so easy. The great thing about CANIDAE All Life Stages is that it’s great for all ages. The puppies later moved on to their new owners with a bag of CANIDAE ALS.
Team Indian Creek is the name of our Dock Diving Team. The 2007 Team Sir Harley, Princess Nala and Queen Sasha competed in 17 events and traveled 16K miles. 2008, we are bringing a couple of new dogs into competition, Cassie Girl and Mister Bentley, both are young and eager to fly off the dock. The only food for Team Indian Creek is ALS, the coats and muscle tone of all our Labs is fantastic! When we arrive at competitions, always someone will ask … What food are you feeding? I am proud to say CANIDAE All Life Stages.
Again, thank you CANIDAE!! The 2007 Most Exciting Team, Sir Harley and Jay Harris, truly believe great jumps are fueled by your great food. If you would like to learn more about ICL please visit www.indiancreeklabs.com.

That's Why We Believe in CANIDAE Pet Foods!
Cascade is an avalanche rescue dog in the Central Mountains of Colorado. He is a two-year-old Golden Retriever. Cascade, my wife and I work with local ski patrols, search and rescue groups and fire/rescue departments. Cascade is trained to “scent” for victims buried in the snow and alert on their location, which in most cases reduces the time spent looking for victims using conventional methods. His primary mission is to serve the skiing public and backcountry users both in rescue and education as well as respond to remote incidents in cooperation with Flight for Life Colorado helicopters. He will begin his training for wilderness search this summer.
Cascade came from a breeder in Wyoming who has produced three other avalanche rescue dogs for our area. Since the litter was weaned and able to eat solid food, the breeder fed them CANIDAE All Life Stages. We have continued that tradition with Cascade. We have found CANIDAE foods and treats to promote a healthy, energetic, and well performing working dog. His job is demanding, and good nutrition is the key to his success. Our veterinarians agree.
We believe that the key to a great working dog is love, training, exercise, and good health care. The foundation to that success starts with good nutrition. That’s why we believe in CANIDAE pet foods!

CANIDAE and Citrus Hill - Producing Truly Versatile Dogs
What versatile dogs retrievers are and how wonderful that CANIDAE Pet Food has helped them attain and maintain success in such a wide range of competition venues. Thank you CANIDAE for such wonderful food.
I personally own, train, and handle one Labrador Retriever and two Flat Coated Retrievers. The Labrador is CH MACH Prospect’s Slam Dunk PAX, MH, UD, RA -- KOBE, is the FIRST AND ONLY Breed Champion and MACH (Master Agility Champion) Labrador Retriever ever in the nation. He has Excellent rated hips, clear elbows, and clear eyes. He is still competing nearly every weekend and earning even more titles at the veteran age of 10-1/2 years old. Kobe thrives on this food and it helps his great conformation, drive and willingness to work shine thru.
My first Flat Coated Retriever is CH MACH 3 Shasta Belstar Magic Happens RA -- MAGIC. Magic completed his breed championship at 18 months old and his MACH at the still young age of 3 years. Magic was ranked 4th Flat Coated Retriever in the Nation 2006 at the Eukanuba Agility Invitational and #1 Flat Coated Retriever for the 2007 Eukanuba Agility Invitational. Magic is currently in training for Competition Obedience, Rally, and Field to ultimately earn Hall of Fame recognition. He too has Excellent rated hips, clear elbows, and clear eyes. Magic has eaten CANIDAE all of his life and thrives on this food.
The final dog I own is another Flat Coated Retriever -- Shasta Caliente -- she has been eating CANIDAE exclusively and is on her way to competing in many different venues -- breed, agility, obedience, and field. Cali is just under a year of age and is loving this food.
I believe that it is more than just a coincidence that both of my adult dogs -- two different breeds, two different breeders, completely different genetic make-ups, but have the same environmental influences have BOTH tested EXCELLENT in their hip ratings, and clear on their other orthopedic and health evaluations. I believe that CANIDAE has played a big part in my dogs’ great health.
I have a number of client dogs that I board, train, and handle mainly in the agility and rally venues. I switch them over to CANIDAE when they arrive and I am always thrilled at the transformation. With this great food, lots of exercise, and obviously lots of time and energy in the training arena, they are all on their way to earning a fabulous number of performance titles. Coats are wonderful, energy level is exceptional, and weight is controlled (many client dogs that arrive are out of shape and over weight).
I have quite a number of students that come to the Training Center during the week for lessons in agility, obedience, rally, conformation, and field. Many of my students have switched over to feeding CANIDAE per my recommendations. They too have seen great results with weight control, energy level, and great coats.
Thank you CANIDAE for such a great food. These dogs are thriving and are earning “titles at both ends”. How wonderful to support “Truly Versatile Dogs”.

CANIDAE is the Only Food We Use
We began our journey with Weimaraners in 1989 with two wonderful pets, Cade and Bess. After two short years of experience with the Weimaraner breed, we felt the need to be more involved and decided to enter the dog show world. To our great fortune, we went to Tom Wilson of Smokey City Weimaraners for our first show puppy and the rest, as they say, is history. Since that time, we have shown, trained, conditioned, and loved many Weimaraners, handling many to their ACK Championships . One special thrill along the way was our ownership of "Smokey City Hail Mary" from 2002-2005. In that period, she held the #1 Weimaraner position, was a 6 time BIS winner, WCA National specialty winner, and #6 sporting dog in the country. Our eternal thanks to Bob Double for handling Mary to such phenomenal success.
We currently enjoy the company of 7 Weimaraners in our home ages 6 months to 8 years. Six are finished AKC Champions and one is on her way. "Dharma", AKA "Smoky City Devil May Care"(pictured) is the most accomplished of our current pack. She finished with all majors, winning Best of Breed from the classes and her first Sporting Group win at 14 months at the prestigious Morris and Essex dog show. Campaigned exclusively as an Owner Handled Best of Breed competitor in 2006 and 2007, she compiled the following record: 4 All Breed Best in Shows, 2 Sporting Dog Best in Shows, 10 Specilalty wins, 40 plus Group 1's and finished 2006 as the #13 sporting dog in the country. Dharma has also added a "Novice Shooting Dog" field title to her list accomplishments.
A considerable portion of her success in the show ring is attributable to her outstanding physical condition. Both judges and spectators frequently comment on her shiny, smooth coat and outstanding muscle tone. And it's not just Dharma that receives the compliments. All of our dogs get noticed, whether in the ring, on the sidewalk or at the Vet. People want to know what we do to keep everyone looking so healthy and vital. It is a two part formula: for part one, we make sure all the dogs run or walk at least 3 miles a day, EVERY DAY and have other physical outlets to expend all of the energy they desire; part two is CANIDAE ALS. It provides all the energy and nutrients our highly active dogs require to look and feel their best in and out of the show ring.
There's no doubt we are a "Show Dog" home, but our dogs live in our home and are a part of the family. From puppyhood to their senior years, CANIDAE is the only food we use. We commend CANIDAE for their research into canine nutrition and producing a food that gives our dogs that "special something". We also take great comfort in the fact the CANIDAE, because of their commitment to quality and safety, was one of the few U.S. pet food manufacturers untouched by the toxic contamination debacle in 2007 emanating from China. We are indeed honored to be among "CANIDAE's Special Achievers" and part of the CANIDAE Team.
UPDATE: GOT the new food!!!!!! Many Many Thanks!!!!! We are very excited about the grain-free---I know they are going to love it!! Last weekend, Simpatico Weimaraners had a big weekend--Our Bred-by Bitch "Sizzle" won the BREED from the classes at the Washington DC specialty, defeating the #1 Weim in the country only to follow 2 days later with our young special "Justice" defeating the # 1 Weim the same weekend!! Comments from the judges...GREAT COAT AND BODY CONDITION---Yeah CANIDAE!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!

Gemari's Canaan Dogs
Gemari's Canaan Dogs would like to share some of our major accomplishments with you. We put nearly the same amount of research into what to feed our new puppies as finding this amazing Breed. Our Canaans have been eating CANIDAE since they arrived at our home and we believe the results we have achieved have been amazing. We believe that CANIDAE has provided not only a superior product, but has helped our dogs during the most demanding development periods and now the most demanding competition.
AKC Ch/UKC BIS Ch Cherrysh Sing So Into You, RN-"Denver" has been on CANIDAE since about 16 weeks of age. He just turned 4. Denver has been competing regularly in AKC and UKC events for the past 2 years. We are pleased to report that during this period he has earned the following: AKC's Canine Good Citizen, AKC and UKC Championships, AKC's Rally Novice title, numerous AKC Best of Breeds, several UKC Group placements, an invitation to the 2007 Eukanuba National Championships, 2 UKC Reserve Best In Multi-Breed Shows (Feb 2008), 1 UKC Best In Multi-Breed Show (Jan 2008).
AKC/UKC Ch Bless-Ed Be My Neshama-"Shama" has been on CANIDAE since she arrived at our home about 2-1/2 years ago. She will be 4 in August. Shama has been competing in AKC and UKC events with Denver. During the past 2 years, she has also earned her AKC and UKC Championships, numerous AKC Best of Breeds, a UKC Group 1, and invitations to the 2006 and 2007 Eukanuba National Championships.
We are so convinced that CANIDAE has been a big part of Denver and Shama's success that we have been feeding their 5 puppies CANIDAE since they transitioned to solid foods. Thank you for helping our Canaans reach their maximum potential.
Best Regards,
Melvin Larsen and Michael Banister

Wood Lake Aussies
All my dogs and puppies are started on CANIDAE Dog Food at 3 weeks of age. They love the taste of the food and empty their bowls with vigor and enthusiasm. My dogs continue to win in the show circuit from what I feel, is the excellent nutrition they get from CANIDAE Dog Food. Most recently, several of my dogs won at a local dog show. Their muscle tone and coats are clearly in great shape. Nutritionally balanced and vitamin complete. I recommend anyone that wants to make it to the " TOP " feed CANIDAE Dog Food and see the results themselves!

Team Missy
Thank you, CANIDAE, for making such a wonderful product. We are a “Dock Diving” family known as Team Missy. Missy is a yellow Labrador Retriever and is the head of “Team Missy”. She became an Elite Dock Diving Dog at her first event and continued to demonstrate her athletic ability by becoming an Incredible Dog Challenge Champion for 2006. Missy’s brothers, Kasey and Kody, are also up and coming Dock Diving champions. Missy, Kasey and Kody have all had national and local television exposure and articles in newspapers and magazines in the course of competing in Dock Diving in large part due to your product. Their appearance, both on and off the dock, always draws compliments from the crowd and everyone asks us how you keep them so fit and their coats looking so good. We are proud to tell everyone about CANIDAE Pet Foods and what a difference a high quality food like CANIDAE makes in the lives of our loving pets.
We recently rescued a 7 month old abused and neglected chocolate Labrador named Hank. Hank was very thin with numerous bald patches and horrible skin and hot spots. With in a week his hot spots cleared up and we could see new hair growing in. Hank is now a healthy and strong dog and has made a complete recovery with a thick and healthy coat all because of CANIDAE Dog Food.
Team Missy would like to thank “Team CANIDAE” for making such a high quality dog food. We recommend CANIDAE All Life Stages formulas to everyone who asks us what we feed our dogs and many of our friends and co-workers who have made the change to CANIDAE, tell us they wished they had listened to us earlier and started feeding their dogs CANIDAE sooner.
Sincerely,
Dan, Jean, Cory, Chrissy and our wonderful Labrador companions - Missy, Kody, Kasey, Lisa, Katy and Hank and Buddy (our 9 year old terrier mix).
