The Pongo Fund Pet Food Bank Opens Sunday, November 8, 2009

To coincide with the opening of The Pongo Fund Pet Food Bank in Portland Oregon and in honor of our donation of $125,000 worth of premium CANIDAE and FELIDAE All Natural Pet Food, the mayor of Portland has declared this Sunday, November 8 to be "CANIDAE All Natural Pet Foods Day."
We were shocked and excited when the signed certificate from the Mayor arrived at our offices in California yesterday. We will proudly mount the Mayor's kind declaration on our wall as a reminder that our efforts to promote Responsible Pet Ownership are a core part of our values as a company.
The Pongo Fund Pet Food Bank will open their doors to the entire community this Sunday from 12pm-3pm. Focused on protecting companion animals from being abandoned or surrendered, simply because their families cannot afford to feed them, The Pongo Fund further expands their efforts to feed every hungry companion pet they possibly can.
The Pongo Fund, together with CANIDAE, Evergreen Pet Supply, and generous supporters, has already provided more than 100,000 quality meals to animals living in Portland’s homeless, transitional and underprivileged communities. The new food bank will be Portland’s first dedicated pet food charitable resource.
